DDG series high current generators are special equipment designed and manufactured for power departments and industrial & mining enterprises to test electrical equipment. They are applicable for current load tests and temperature rise tests of various switches, current transformers and other electrical devices.

Working Principle

After the working power supply is connected to this series of products, the high current required for the test can be obtained by adjusting the output voltage of the voltage regulator.

Operation Method
  1. Connect the circuit according to the working schematic diagram. The transformer shell and operation console must be properly grounded.
  2. Switch on the power supply, the green indicator light on the operation console will turn on. Press the start button afterwards, the red indicator light will light up, indicating the current booster is ready for current boosting.
  3. Rotate the voltage regulator clockwise evenly until the output current reading reaches the required high current. To guarantee test accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series to the instrument terminals.
  4. If any abnormal condition occurs during the test, cut off the power supply immediately and resume the test only after the cause is identified.
  5. After the test, the voltage regulator must be turned back to zero position, then press the stop button to cut off the power supply. The test wiring can only be removed after disconnecting the working power supply to ensure safety.
